‘A Phase of Fixation’ is my first series of poems.

Fixation is a common experience for people during their teen years. A fixated teen revolves their entire attention around a yearning to be with someone.

Through an introspective outlook, these poems capture the emotions which many teens keep to themselves. It highlights the dubious attitudes which we exhibit at this age.

By reading this series, I hope readers will understand the irrational manner which they may be putting themselves through.

For me, it was only when I had read back my own words that I had realised how trivial these emotions were. I hope this is a lesson which others can reflect upon.

Under the alias of Ragder Siliki, I wrote these poems over the space of a few years. At the time, I believed I was writing love poems, but in retrospect believe these to show myself as a boy who could not cope with infatuation.
